Day two: Millbrae - Monterey

Our first full day out West. We drove south to Monterey, CA. Roads! Roads, they’re so biiiiig! We got used to it pretty quickly though. And I never want to drive with a stick shift ever again, EVER. Driving an automatic rocks. I don’t know why they let us go through so much crap over here. I didn’t have to use my left foot! Left foot says “Thank you!” Cruise control, also rocks. I said to Conny, I’m so hooked on Cruise Control, I’m surprised my name isn’t Katie Holmes.
Thank you, I’ll be here all night!

We arrived at our hotel in Monterey but our room wasn’t ready yet so we went to the Bay Aquarium. Lots of fish (obviously)

cute otters, jellyfish (not cute, but very retro and spacey like)

crazy sardines who would go round and round and round and basically that’s all they do

some penguins, birds who tried to make us believe they have one leg

and I finally saw what tuna look like. I don’t like tuna, and now I definitely won’t ever bite into a tuna sandwich ever again. Man, those things are big and nasty-lookin’!

We wandered around the area a bit, it was very hot by the way, every time we go on vacation there’s a heatwave so we got used to it. Oh, another thing I loved about the car: airconditioning. As necessary as brakes. We don’t have it here. airconditioning I mean. Pft!

You take the best pictures. I can't check out LJ right now but I will when I get home. I wanna see your mug! I love the picture of the jellyfish especially. And quit bitching about the stickshift! [/stickshift snob here] ;-P

OMG festistickshift. You drive stickshift! Cligers does, too. You guys are crazy. It's like having a can of whipped cream and a can of boogers and deciding to open up the can of boogers and put the boogers on your cake, when you can have whipped cream! Crazy! :P

I'm a bit busy at the moment but I'll try to type up a new entry tomorrow, and don't worry, pictures of my mug haven't been posted on my LJ yet but they'll be there eventually.
